Really Annoying IE7 Problem

I'm recently having an issue with Internet Explorer 7. I don't know exactly
when it began, but it's been going on for quite some time, now. Whenever I
search on a search engine (google, yahoo, sympatico, etc.) and click onto a
link in the search results, rather than taking me to that actual site, it
redirects me to this other site. It didn't just do it with one link. Many
times, when I click into sites (even this internet explorer help newsgroup),
it is redirecting me to some weird, random sites. Is there any way to fix
this? I can't seem to find out if there's any virus, but spybot-search and
destroy and windows live onecare isn't detecting anything.

For example, clicking into sites (doesn't matter which) will redirect me to:

Help is appreciated.

Sounds like you've got some malware. If you haven't got them already,
download, install, update and run Adaware,
http://lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php and Spybot

Your computer is infected.

Try scanning your system with /several/ of the better online scanners,
such as:
Kaspersky Antivirus (http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner)
Panda ActiveScan (http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan)

HijackThis is a program that searches your computer for signs of
infection. The program produces a detailed log that you can submit to
volunteer experts free of charge for analysis. You can post your HiJack
This logs in several forums (NOT here.) More information:

Unexplained computer behavior may be caused by deceptive software
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827315

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert.  **Post your log to
http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30,
http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22,
http://castlecops.com/forum67.html, or other appropriate forums for review
by an expert in such matters, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.
