When pressing a You tube URL I get the message:
"You have the Java script turned off or use older version of Flash player."
I believe my Java script is turned on and I have the latest version of Flash
player.
What could be the cause of this?

Thanks

What could be your Windows version?  What could be your IE version?  How
have you determined that Javas script is enabled?  How have you determined
that you have the latest version of Flash (Player)?

Windows XP, IE 6.

When I press the URL, it provides the URL for downloading the Java script
and the flash player. I download and install both and still get the same
message.

Try running FlashRepair: http://docxp.mvps.org/b1n/FlashRepair.exe
From http://docxp.mvps.org/Download.htm
If still no joy, try uninstalling Adobe Flash Player:
http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157
"How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control".
Then reinstall Adobe Flash Player:
