I'm very new to IE7.

Recently I opened a URL - or tried to -- and the little animated icon on the
tab just kept spinning and spinning.

The page looked to me like it was loaded.

But I have to admit I couldn't get beyond the annoyance of having to watch
that movement out of the corner of my eye.

Not being 14, I DESPISE distracting things like that that I can't turn off.

It's fine having that kind of thing show that the page hasn't finished
loading yet - in general -- but if it goes on forever, it's way way not fine.

I looked around a little for how to turn it off -- but finally just gave up
and closed the tab.

If this keeps happening, I'll trash IE7 for something else.

If a tiny spinning icon on a tab is enough to make you give up all the
good stuff in IE 7 then you're going to have to "trash" it. Don't even
think about Firefox - it has the spinning icon as well.

If a small thing like that gets you all bent out of shape I wish you luck.
