I'm no longer able to access my Favorites. I see the folder listed under
C:\Walt, the same location as my Documents, Music, etc. folders. If I Run
shell:Favorites I'm pointed to Walt\Start
Menu\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu. Any help would be appreciated.

That is not the default location.  For one thing, \Walt should be in
C:\Users.  How did you move it and why?.

I can't say why \Walt is where it is. If it was moved, it was not
intentional. I got around the problem by pointing favorites to it's current
location. The Favorites have been restored. Thanks for your help.

Although I restored my Favorites by changing shell:Favorites I now see
Roaming folder in my program groups from the Start menu. You mentioned that
my \Walt should be in C:\Users. If Walt was moved it happened by accident
because I woud have ne reason to move it. Can you tell me what the default
locations should be?

Thanks

How long has that  Roaming  level been there?

E.g one possibility would be that Roaming was instituted recently
and now you just have to repopulate that folder with whatever you
want.

Are you using a corporate PC?  Perhaps you should check
with its administrator?
