Hi Gordon,
I simply copied the folder and pasted it in a new directory. I've created a
'data' directory where I have all data - email, addresses, favorites,
pictures, videos, documents, etc. This way I have a single backup location.
So now that I have my favorites in thie data directory I want to point IE so
that it sees this location as my favorites directory and not the default
location. I know there are ways to do back up using the default strategy but
I'd like to move toward a single location.

You should have right-clicked on the Favorites folder in Explorer, selected
Properties and chosen "Move" on the general tab. That would have
automatically pointed IE at it. I think you'll have to put it back and do
that.

I found the favorites folder in Windows Explorer right clicked clicked on
properties and general but there was not a move. Thinking you meant Internet
Explorer, where what would I right click on? Nothing I right clicked on gave
me a properties option.

Gordon, I didn't follow what you are suggesting. I can't find a move option
by right clicking.

Sorry, not used XP for a while. Move the Favorites back to their default
location, then download and use Tweakui to move them.
