IE7 Cannot open Windows Update

Yesterday I posted that I cannot open Windows update on the tools bar of IE7.
I picked up a virus, cleaned it up, but can no longer access Windows Update,
anyting with Microsoft.com in the URL. Also, I cannot open Microsoft.com
with Foxfire. I asked to be contacted by email if anyone had a solution and
of course I cannot asscess the answer nor can I find where I posted the
questions by accessing the newsgroups, which I can do somehow. Can anyone
help with this? I'm writing down te subject line above so I can access the
answer.
