Cookies in IE7

Despite interminable tries and changes I cannot get cookies to stay.  I use
IE7 and XP Home but even dropping security through the floor the cookies
disapear each time I log off. On my same home network with XP pro on my main
machine there is no problem but the same configuration does not help in XP
Home. I downloaded the developers beta of IE8 and even this produces the same
result although it looked good and I'm looking forward to the official
release.

What can I do to make them persist?

I've tried Firefox 3 and they stay wonderfully but there isn't the slick
functionality as there is in IE7. (Try using a favourite, the list stays
there until closed whereas IE7 selects, takes you there then closes the list)

Could your third-party security software be interfering?

Is your computer's clock and date correct?
Perhaps the Cookies are expiring prematurely?   ; )

I am having the same problem............it started around June 7.......all of
a sudden, I have to log in to most(there are at least 2 that I don't) sites I
go to.

My clock and date are correct, what is this cookie expire that was
mentioned?? is there a way to make them expire?

Anyway, I cannot figure this out, I have even put sites in the always allow,
but,  they are still not writing a cookie.

Hi,
Is CCleaner or another third-party program blocking/managing/deleting
cookies?

Which version of Windows?
Which version of Internet Explorer?

Finally,,,,,,,,,it let me respond.............

I noticed CCleaner had a cookie from 2 days ago.....so I assume it runs on
my PC, but, I cannot find it anywhere, no program, no files with that name, I
did a search.
I deleted the cookie.
How do I find this cleaner and shut it down or check the options on it?
Thanks in advance............

I did say this was mostly greek to me.................
I was looking through my programs, freeware etc.......and saw this Jmicron
Raid Configurer............the write up said something about writing to dual
hard drives, which I don't have, so , I deleted it.
Seems like that might not have been good.............now everytime I start
up, I get a message about trying to install software for some
hardare............ JMB36X Controller...........I can't get rid of it.
Anyone know if I need this or how to stop the installation during startup?
SO, far, I don't seem to have any other problems related to it.
Thanks
