Hi,
A few months ago I posted here regarding a problem that occurs often in my
internet explorer. Here is a link to a picture of the problem:
http://s140.photobucket.com/albums/r25/ashman2/?action=view¤t=queryerror2.jpg
It's the blue bar at the top of the window and the problem only occurs in
Internet Explorer. I run Windows XP Service Pack 2 on a desktop. At the time
I got a lot of advice about starting internet explorer without any add ons,
about using the Reset Internet Explorer function and several other ideas. I
tried them all and the problem remains, which left only one recommended
solution but as my exams were starting I didn't really feel like fiddling
with my computer's programmes. The last idea was uninstalling IE7 and then
reinstalling it.
My question, or problem, is firstly how exactly do I go about uninstalling
internet explorer 7, and after uninstalling it will my computer automatically
revert back to IE6 or do I need to do something else in the process. Is it
recommended I download another type of internet surfing programme like
Mozilla so that I have something to use while reinstalling IE7.
I could really use some help with this, or if anyone has any other ideas
about what could possibly be causing the problem. It's not a big problem that
gets in the way of IE7 working, it's just I'd quite like it if my internet
Explorer worked/looked properly.
Thanks.
Chris.

Start, Settings, Control Panel then click Add or Remove Programs, locate
IE7 and uninstall it.

Yes, it will.

No, no need for that.

Read this *before* installing IE7:
Sandi's Installation Tips: 1 thru 8, 10 and 11, note 12 that's it.

Do not use Automatic/Windows Update for downloading/installing IE7!
Use this link instead:

Save the program to your desktop then install.
Activate Windows Update after installing IE7 to download/install pertinent
updates offered, including Root Certificates updates.
Good luck :)

What's the problem? I see nothing amiss in the screenshot, other than the
fact that the titlebar somewhat overlaps the minimize icon box.
Uninstalling IE7

[Only use the Command %windir%\ie7\spuninst\spuninst.exe if you cannot
uninstall 'WIndows Internet Explorer 7' via Add/Remove Programs; it's safe
to ignore any warnings that such-and-such might not work if you uninstall
it.]
