I tried searching for this, but really wasn't sure of what search terms to
use. Anyway; my problem is that on some websites that have several frames;
some of the frames are partially obscured and therefore inaccessible, and
there is no way of scrolling down or across to make the missing parts
visible. For example; I just tried to submit a query using a web-based
contact form, but the "submit" button was hidden behind a frame that went
across the bottom of the page, and there was no way to access it. On my XP
computer, there was no problem. I have run into this problem on several
webpages, and I usually just give up and use my XP computer instead, but
there must be something I can do!

Hi Tammy,

The same thing happend to a user where I work the other day.....

Right-click on your Desktop and select Properties from the drop-down menu.
Select the Settings tab.

Choose a lower screen resolution. Mine is 1024 by 768 which matches the
monitor size that I have.
(this is the aspect ratio = width/height so 1024/768 = 1.3, which is what
most computer screens are).

Click the Apply button. The screen will reset its aspect ratio. Go to your
web page to check that the frames and buttons are now visible.

Regards.

I don't know if that's the best advice if the OP has an LCD monitor,
which should operate at its native resolution.

The OP's problem might possibly be resolved by resetting the DPI setting
to 96 DPI. Might also be worthwhile to check whether the text size or
screen magnification needs adjusting. There might also be a problem with
settings the OP has chosen for their video driver.

Wait...I get it now: You're suggesting that the OP may /not/ have set
their resolution at native, and you're suggesting they should use the
native resolution. Sorry about that.

I can't read minds either.

Thanks guys. I tried lowering the resolution, but I just got a worse picture
and still not full frames. I have had a look around the display settings, but
can't find anything to adjust that might fix my problem. I have tried
fiddling with text size in the past to no avail, and I don't have the screen
magnifier turned on. I'm not sure how to go about adjusting my DPI setting as
Leonard suggested. It's not a big deal; just frustrating!
