Hi,
On occasion, when I try to close IE, it will repeatedly open new windows to
my home page. The only way to stop it without shutting down is to go into
the Task Manager, and kill ieuser.exe as well as iexplorer.exe. This has
occurred more than once, but I have so far been completely unable to
reproduce it.
The first thing I thought was that I was infected with a virus that my
McAfee Security Center wasn't detecting, but I have already gone to McAfee
support, and it checks out fine - it detected and quarantined a test virus
without a problem. So, the only option I am left with is that the problem
must be with IE. Can anyone help? Thanks.
Btw, I am running Windows Vista Home Premium SP 1

Did this behavior occur before Vista SP1 was installed?
Were all components of McAfee Security Center running in the background when
you installed SP1?

What if you go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools |
Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
