Please forgive me, I'm not very computer literate, and it
took me hours to get to this point.  I don't even know what
version of Internet Explorer I have.  Problem:  last night
I was on www.coolarchive.com   I wanted to download a few
fonts.  Normally I would save to disk, but was talking on
the phone at the same time and not paying close enough
attention.  I selected saving to WinZip, and since then I
cannot get into FONTS in the Control Panel.  It says
An error has occured in IE.  IE will now close.  Restart etc
Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module
MSVBVM60.DLL at D15f:6600fddc  etc etc etc......
Then I am not only locked out on FONTS, but locked out of
MY COMPUTER, MY DOCUMENTS, and a few others,  unless
I restart the computer, wherein I can get into MY COMPUTER
again, but not FONTS.  I spent much time talking with
DELL techs (in India! hard to understand) and they say it
must be a virus from one of the fonts, even though they do
NOT show up in WinZip.  I am out to purchase an anti-virus
program, too late obviously, or could it be something else?
Does Module MSVBVM60.DDL mean anything to anybody?
Help help?    Kate

It's a program that usurps various functions of IE or Windows for its own
purposes.  Try this:

peoples computers!!??   I have since bought as much
protection as I can but, man this ticks me off!

I'm afraid there's not much you can do; even if the messages are removed
from Google and from the servers, there are millions of ISP managed news
servers out there that could be harvested :o(

Your ISP should, by now, have implemented procedures to delete the viruses
as they arrive.
