Hi,

I found outlook express can divide a mail into several parts for email
delivery.

It can also integrate the parts into one again

That's v nice!

Is it a common standard in internet or just supported by outlook express? It
seems to me, other email client like outlook can't do the integration.

Cheers,

Philip

I've got no idea if it's only "supported" by OE, but splitting & combining
of the data is actually very easy.

The splitting is just terminating the current message when you've stuck a
certain amount of data into the attachment, and start a new.

For the "decoding" part, it's just selecting the apropriate messages
(something OE dies not attempt to do on it's own !) grabbing the right
mime-parts outof those messages, and decode it into the same file.  That's
all.

Actually, you can save the seperate decoded (parts of) attachments, and
combine them with a mere DOS copy-command (with the "/b" flag set) ...
