Hey

I am running win98. I was having freezing issue with oe6.
so i deciced to uninstall. When i uninstalled it i went
back to oe4. I reinstalled it and now i am lost all my new
emails but for some reason i have all my old emails that
came in 2003. I searched all the *.dbx but could not find
any new emails in any of the dbx folders. but i did notice
that i have *.mbx/*.idx files are those my old emails. If
so how do i get it into oe. Any help would be great

Thanks
Desi

Mbx/idx files are from OE4.  To import them into OE6, see this link:
http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/faqs/how.htm#importOE4

To recover messages, you can purchase DBXpress from www.oehelp.com which can
find files that are "invisible" to your operating system.  The price is
presently $24.95 and at that price, it's a bargain.

Your old OE6 files are DBX files.  OE4 uses MBX and IDX files.  I'm not
certain you can import OE6 files into OE4, Desi.
