I'm in trouble with the address book

PA Bear set me straight - don't try to "unshare" the address book once I've
enacted sharing. I did not but...... I did use the free OE back up proggy
that Tom (?) or someone wrote and now I'm screwed. My address book is lost -
it somehow was replaced by an address book (size - 174kb) which has exactly
one address in it.  I can see another file (my name.wab) which I think is
the real address book (size 878kb) but I can't import it or open it.   I'm
not blaming the back up proggy but I did use it and somehow lost my address
book and am a tad frustrated.  Can someone clue me in on what to try to do?
If I lose the address book I am in deep yogurt. Thanks in advance.
