With the new IE 6.0.2900 version which is installed with XP SP2, I cannot
download text files from a link. When I click on the link, the system does
not popup the File Download Dialog. However, in all previous versions of IE,
the Dialog appears. I have verified the settings have "Automatic prompting
for file downloads": Enabled and "File Download":Enabled. Please help.

Renee,
I don't think IE has ever done this. It has displayed the text of the txt
file in a window. Try right clicking the link then selecting 'save target
as'.
