Hello,

I'm trying to find localized versions of
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS99-043.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS99-050.mspx
patches for Internet Explorer 5.0. The download should be available via:
http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/iebuild/jsredir/en/jsredir.htm
http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/iebuild/servredir/en/servredir.htm
but unfortunately the download links for all language versions are broken
for IE 5.0 - for IE 4.01 and IE 5.01 they are OK, but for IE 5.0 not.
Non-functional URLs are:
(for English versions)
http://download.microsoft.com/download/ie5/JSRV/5.0/W9XNT4/EN-US/q244357.exe
http://download.microsoft.com/download/ie5/SPRR/5.0/W9XNT4/EN-US/q246094.exe
(for Czech versions)
http://download.microsoft.com/download/ie5/JSRV/5.0/W9XNT4/CS/q244357csx86.exe
http://download.microsoft.com/download/ie5/SPRR/5.0/W9XNT4/CS/q246094csx86.exe

Does anybody know any new, working URLs, or does anybody have the Czech
language version updates? English version I was able to find.

See the "No-Charge Support" toll-free numbers/links on the right-hand side

I was told that they provide hotfixes only, not regular public updates.

Even older updates for IE 5.0 are not only still available, but even the new
fashion download pages were created, like
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6DEE32AB-B618-4FB3-9A45
-CDD08162E167&displaylang=en

- but for the two a.m. updates unfortunaterly not - or I'm not able to find
them.

Keep in mind that support for IE 5.0 ended quite some time ago.

So how do you check whether your application works with IE5 if you can't
even get a copy for test?

Ask the application's maker/author/supplier if it's supported in IE5.x.
