This post may have a virus.
I understand that there is a thing called Internet etiquette.
If I have a virus, someone could inform me.
I have a Virus scanner, but it says 0
I had a Microsoft Spyware that said 0
When I checked for Spyware, I actually had 29
I used to have 2 computers, until Sunday 9/11
I was having the same problem.
A virus, probably more, got into my word template,
and called itself normal. Therefore I know that laptop
was badly corrupt. The Norton Anti-virus did not
detect the virus/worm. The Microsoft Spyware
did not detect the spyware.
It appeared that when three vital items overlapped,
such as file #1 became file #10, it ignited a computer
crash. After the computer crashed, all the 400 quartined
items were no longer quartined, they were returned to
their removed from files. The computer was extremely
corrupt, yet no viruses were noted.
This machine acted like it had a virus.
There must be a way to detect one.
Do you remember the file name that the blaster worm
was under?
Thank you for your assistance.

This message of yours does not contain a virus.
Viruses and spyware are two different things.
Word normally uses the template Normal.dot
Cookies are only text files. They don't do anything. They are neither
viruses nor spyware.
I got lost in the rest of your message.

it looks like these posts were generated by a Trojan, Frank. (Think "Begin"
bug and "Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1506".) I pinged JohnE about
it.

thank you PA Bear
When I return my new computer to the store,
I will be asking about all of the NEW computer problems.
It took me 4 hours to get the wireless high speed internet
connection and then another 4 hours before I had to
quit because the Norton anti-virus stated that it
was expired.
I was amazed that the Norton anti-virus knew that
it was dead!
Thank God that computers are smarter than people.
Out of 200 posts,
you are the second person that told me about problem.
