Hi, Ive got a puzzling Toshiba laptop that will not do windows updates. I
have done :
Clean install from Toshiba rescue cd
Install from Win98se cd using cd-key from Toshiba
Normally the machine gets onto the network via a usb adapter which has not
flawed me in the past, also tried via a wireless pcmcia card and last but not
least the trusty old dial up modem.
When prompted to install the latest windows update component, IE poops
itself and says it needs to restart and then we end up in a loop, the error
doesnt tell me anything specific other then its occured and needs to close.
I have tried to install IE6 prior to doing windows updates but that leads me
to the same error.
Any idea's?
Thanks Mark
