I have a question about my ie6 browser.  I cannot change my homepage.
I have tried to set it to foxnews.com  from within the browser and
also in the registry keys. It always sets back to it's default which
is msn.com. I have always been able to do this in previous versions.
Is there something different about ie6 that I should try?

Any number of things might be disallowing the change.  These include
Ad-ware's Ad-Watch, Spybot Tea Timer, SpySweeper, Zone Alarm, and Norton
AntiVirus.

This is an IE5 newsgroup.  IE6-specific newsgroup:

Disable Ad-Watch > Change your homepage > Confirm the change in a new IE
window > Re-enable Ad-Watch.  See http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=6077

John, it might not be a good idea to use such things as Ad-Watch if you
don't know/understand what they do. <wink>

Thanks. I purchased Ad Ware so it would keep malware and spyware off
my machine. I don't think it will keep viruses away. Should I be
concerned about having this product on my machine? I also run Avast
Anti virus.

It's Ad-aware, not Ad Ware.  The free version (which does not include Ad
Watch or real-time protection) is something I frequently recommend.  No, it
does not protect you from real viruses/Trojans.  Similarly, Avast doesn't
protect you from all spyware/hijackware/adware.
