Typed all my addresses using Outlook Express and now when I need to export
them it says

I am trying to export them as a .txt or.csv file.

Typed them into "what?"  The Windows Address Book?  Or into Notepad?

What happens when you open Start/Run and type:  WAB /A

Does the address book open?  If so, you can use its menu, File/Export/Other
Address Book.

Really need a lot more info from you to try and help.

Into the Windows address book.  If I type in WAB/A they say they cannot find
the file.  All I want to do is transfer my WAB to other programs.  When I
try to send out the WAB using export - that's when I get the error, "error
exporting addresses".

Try using the WAB /A command again and this time leave a space between WAB
and the virgule [/].  If that fails to work, you may have a problem with
your address book that has been moved to some location other than the one in
the registry at this key:

\HKEY_CURRENT_USER
   \Software
       \Microsoft
           \WAB
               \WAB4
                   \Wab File Name

In any case, you should be able to open the Address Book and use "its" menu,
File/Export/Address Book [or Other Address Book] if you wish to export as a
CSV file.  I'd suggest you read the info about the address book at this
link:

Good luck.
