I am currently running 0E5.5 on windows 95. Everytime I open oe5.5 it asks if I want to make OEmy default mail client. I always click yes and another message pops up and says "Simple Mapi support could not be enabled because Mapistub.dll could not be found or did not load. Reinstalling should restore file". This message pops up every time I open OE.
I did a search and did not find mapistub.dll on my machine
I have set OE to be my default mail app.many times in the tool>options, but when I go back and check to see, it tells me it's not my default
What is this file for and how do I get it back
                                                    Thanks

Mapistub.dll can be extracted from MAILNEWS.CAB in C:\Windows Update Setup
Files.  Place it in C:\Windows\System.  Or you can do as the following KB
article recommends and uninstall and reinstall Outlook Express.

OLEXP: ErrMsg: Simple MAPI Support Could Not Be Enabled..
(Mapistub.dll could not be found)
