Maybe this question is already asked and answered, but I couldn't find that answer up till now.

I've got Outlook Express on one of our computers but after a period of time (sometimes every week and sometimes not for a few months) it creates a new Postvak IN.dbx (Dutch version) with the name Postvak IN (x).dbx ('x' being the number of times it went wrong). This obviously is caused by some kind of corruption in the original dbx-file but it keeps comming back. Even when I use, say, Postvak IN (4).dbx for a while, a few weeks later we'll have Postvak IN (5).dbx.

I read that maybe a virusscanner could be the cause of this. We are using Panda Titanium Anti Virus. Could that be the reason???

It could very well be your AV program. See this link.

Do not keep mail in any of the default folders of OE, move them to
folders created by you under Local Folders. Disable "compact in the
background" and do this manually, frequently, while offline.
