I had to replace my harddrive, but before removing the old one, I copied the
address book (.WAB)and all folders (*.dbx) to a CD.  I did not export
anything.  Now I have reinstalled all original software including OE.  I want
to access the old emails.  I tried copying teh *dbx files directly to the
Windows/application data/indenties/OE  - but that did not work.  I also tried
to import it.  I am runnign Win ME.  Any adive, thanks very much..

Create a folder on the new hard drive to contain all of the old DBX files.
Then copy all of the DBX files from the old hard drive to the folder on your
new hard drive.  Open Outlook Express, and use the menu,
File/Import/Messsages/OE6/From a Message Store and point to the folder you
created on your new drive that contains all of the old DBX files including
the old folders.dbx file.  Should work fine.  Also see the info at this
