I have just switched from NAV to AVG and have AVG scanning my incoming and
outgoing emailin Outlook Express.  All seems to be working fine, except
many of my incoming emails have the notation of an "attachment" when in
fact there is no attachment.  Can you help?

Windows version?  Are you running OE5.5?

You describe default behavior with AVG's scanning of incoming mail enabled
on Win9x machines.  You may safely disable it as it provides no additional
protection as long as (1) AVG automatically seeks and installs updates daily
and (2) AVG is always running in the background.
