Evening,
I sort by sent except when I have watched content. I run IE5.5. When viewing
newsgroups on the MS server and in the middle of a 9000+ message group and
deep into a thread I am redirected to the top (as is sorted) of the group
each time OE checks for mail. It is very unnerving and forces me to search
for the particular thread again. Anyone know how to allow OE to check for
mail without this interruption?

TIA,
DTV

Will "Get new headers" "refresh" the group?

Yes, depending on your settings, as will simply opening the group.
