Hello just to know a bit more about. Today I got mail from a friend with theses sentences:
>>"We are pleased to announce that the Windows Security Update CD has been
released! You may now order your free copy of the CD at
<http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/cd/order.asp>.
This CD includes Microsoft critical updates released through October 2003
and information to help you protect your PC. This CD is only available for
Windows XP, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows 98, and Windows 98 Second
Edition (SE). "<<
Now my question. Is this the update all were talking about the weeks before when a rumour went through yahoo stationery groups and stationery newsgroups???? I thought it will come out in June?.
And if the answer is yes - my next question. Is it now true that we can use stationery scripts and work with OE and vbs scripts still like before? Or is it better not to download and update?
thanks in advance for answering my questions. Sorry I have not beeing around much the last few months. Work sometimes catch you and there is no time to play anymore. Well life has its ups and downs so maybe one day it will cool down a bit again lol.
best wishes and greetings

Those should be just the Critical Updates related to Security that are released from the Windows Update page or MS Security page. It might be easier for some people to get the CD instead of downloading them all. The worries from a few weeks ago involved WinXP/IE6 SP2 which rumored to stop all use of scripting in email and news. WinXP/IE6 SP2 will not be ready until June or July as a guess but could take longer.
