Hi,

This is the only MS Knowledge Base Article on the issue that I'm aware of:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=282882

If the above article is of no help, you might try reading over the replies
in this
forum to see if you can find any help with the problem.

Hi,
I wonder if anyone could offer any suggestions as to the following:
When I run a voice test in Sound and Multimedia I get the following error:
An error occurred during Direct Play Voice Setup.
Error code Ox805017 then when I click on okay it says:
Windows Cannot Exectue Dpv Setup.exe, use Add/Remove Programs Panel to
Install.
I have checked the Add/Remove Panel and there is nothing there about Dpv
Voice Setup.
> It was working but now  for some reason  it is not.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
