Can someone please help me?  I have trailing stationery which used to work perfectly.  Now the trailing visuals don't show, just red x's, but only on the recipient's end.  I can see them perfectly on my computer.  Thanks!  Ann

Sounds like the inetcomm.dll problem with duplicate files.  I would need to
see one to make sure it was that...But  you are using the web base interface
and you can't send in a html from there.  Please cut and paste this link
into your browser and it will set up the group in OE and from there we can
tell you how to get to the private MS server were we can tell you how to fix
it.

Wow.  I found the fix on Letterman's site.  It worked.
inetcomm.dll was the problem all along.  I bet a lot of
folks would be interested in the cure for the red x problem.
Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dick

Thanks!

P.S. - Dick, what letterman site would you be refering to?

I thought everybody in this newsgroup knew about
the Letterman site.  The link for the red x problem is:
http://www.ohmster.com/~billscott/InetcommDll.htm

However, I am now unsure if I can leave the Letterman
fix on my computer, if it will make it a target for bad
stuff.

Hi Dick
Thanks for your quick reply.  I'm really new to a newsgroup...like today new.  :)  My son was here and got me signed in so I could correspond.  That's why I didn't know anything about a Letterman site.  What sort of problem do you anticipate might happen if you keep that fix on your computer?  I had someone from a stationery site send me an old dll file to fix my problem, but I tried installing it and I still can't send my nice trailing stationery to people without them getting the red x.  Thanks for your help!  Ann

Ann yes you have the dll problem that stops embedding of any duplicate
files.  You need to go to Bill Scott's Letterman's site.  This has
information on how to replace this dll which is inetcomm.dll there is also a
place to download this dll you need which is version 1106 the last good dll
for OE 6.

Ann you need to access all these groups from OE not the web base reader ok.
Posting two announcement on how to get to the stationery group we all post
from now.

I was remiss in thanking you for your response too..sorry.  Thank you SO much.  The more information I get, the better.  Hopefully one of these days my problem will be solved.  A lot of this stuff is over my head, but I'm not deterred from trying.  What is the private MS server you spoke of where I could receive help?  Aren't I there now?  As you can tell, I'm new at this so please, bear with me.  Thanks again.  Ann

Microsoft update doesn't like for me to do this, I guess.
The next day I received a notice of an OE update which
restored the old non-functional dll.  Is it safe to go back
to the old dll and ignore future OE update messages?
