Hi,

I have XP Pro and OE6.  When I get an email with an attached file I get a paperclip at the top of the preview pane.  To save the attachment to my hard drive I click the paperclip and it shows the attachment then says Save attachments...    If I click on that, then a box opens to that says Save attachments to C:\Documents and Settings\Mom\My Documents.  I don't want it to say that folder.  I want it to say C:\My Music.  So I hit browse and change it.  But the next time it is back to that annoying My Documents folder that I never ever use.

Can you please tell me how to change the default Save To folder to My Music instead of My Documents?

Thanks very much.  I know this shouldn't annoy me so much, but to redo the same change every single time really gets my teeth grinding!

This feature is broken due to a security patch bug.  Its fixed in XP SP2.

Steve do you have any idea if they will fix this and the duplicate Image problem for the ones not running XP...There are still many out there who run Win 98/SE, Win*Me and Windows 2000 whom would like this fixed also.  I know it has been fixed in XP SP2 and so figure if they can fix it for that then can fix for others who for one reason or another can't or won't update to XP.  Been going on three years now.

It's pretty doubtful it will ever be fixed in those systems.  MS has
indicated the only changes to programs for those earlier operating systems
will be if security issues are involved and in these cases, what we see are
annoyances and not security issues. Might really be time to consider
upgrading to Windows XP with SP2.  Good luck.

Jim I have it on both my computers but there are many that can't afford a new computer
that will support XP let alone XP SP 2......should have been done three  patches ago..when
they broke it.  Was broke trying to fix something else and have been told many
times....Not all computer users can afford new computers all the time.

Hi Robbie:  I'm well aware of the economics involved, but I didn't create
them.  Don't shoot the messenger for just stating what MS policy is since I
have no real input into creating it.  I sympathize, but there's not much
else I can do.

I know and sorry I jumped was tired when I wrote this reply and 107 for 5 days hasn't
helped....So far XP SP 2 is ok on both my computers, but some with marginal XP
requirements may have a tough time with it....The ones that have been with me fr the last
6 month we have written an ebook with lots of screen prints for them....We are hoping
thiswill help in the install and setting up for Stationery in XP SP2.
Robbie
You think MS would buy all the old computerusers a new computer so they can have XP SP2
