Windows Forum / Outlook Express / Stationery / August 2004Repeated Imbedded Images Error
After installing some automatic updates I get the following error: When inserting more than one instance of the same image in a new message and sending it ... the first image imbeds perfectly but all other instances does not ... they are displayed as empty boxes with crosses in them. I did have this before after installing Outlook Express Q837009 ... removing it stopped the problem ... but this has resurfaced again in another hotfix/update somewhere. Does anyone know how to solve this problem or which hotfix to uninstall? go to this url and read about the inetcomm.dll this is the one that stops duplicate files from embedding. You will also have to have auto updates disabled or set so you can pick which one to install... Have no idea GGRay....never tried it....I just remember which update did it and don't install it again...The time before this MS used this dll as a bench mark to see if you have done the cumulative update for OE .
