Hello,

When I click the Create Mail button on OE6, the From Box contains my email
address. Before I reinstalled WinXP, it contained my name. How can I get
this behavior back? Thanks.

Well, there is no From box in Create Mail, so I'm just going to take
a wild guess here.  Go to: Tools>Accounts>Mail>Properties. Make sure
your name is typed in the Name field and not your address.

I mean the From box in the new email message box that is created. Maybe I am
wrong about it displaying my name instead of my email. It aslo seems to show
up in messages I send myself (as a test). It shows my email in the From
column instead of my name as most other email does.

If you save it to Drafts, or send it to yourself, then there is a
From Column. What is displayed in that column is what is in the Name
field as I described.

Bruce:  If you have more than one email account, the From line is visible in
a Compose window,  and clicking anywhere in the From line will allow you to
select the account desired to send from (i.e, it will display all accounts
available).  The name shown will be the one for the email address created
for that account.

Thanks - I think I got it. It seems to be related to setting my email as
Main Idenity. Thanks to all who respond to this group - your replies wre a
great help.
