Hello my name is Carmen, I was born in the island of Puerto Rico and was bought up in the city of New York . I came to New York in the year 1954 and it was there that I received all my schooling. I got my GED in the year 1980 after I was already the mother of four children . I have two girls and two boys whom have been my pride and joy all my motherhood years . I have been blessed with twelve grandchildren and one greatgrand child and another on the way . I have tried three times to finish my education and every I have been unsuccessful due to health problems which do not allow me to continue. It has been my life's dream to become a nurse and give a helping hand to those who need it . is my believe that one should give some of what he/she receives to those in need. I believe that I will need to set more time out for myself and stop doing things which perhaps are keeping me from being what I want to be . At the moment I live with my two granddaughters whom I adore, since they have with me since they were very young. One of them does not talk and I have learned to speak some sign language, which in turn I intend to use in the field of my choice . My other granddaughter is an adorable ten year old who keeps me on my toes. I am hoping to interact with many of my fellow student via a-mail , and at the same time learn from them what perhaps I do not know. I wish everyone a lot luck in their trend towards a better life.
