You know the boxes that ask if you want to open, save, run
etc... before you download. How do I turn that back on?
Can't find the option any where and can't find any info in
the help file for IE. Thanks in advance.

Access Folder options (path to that varies depending on the OS in use)>File
Types>scroll down to the file types in question> select file>edit (w98
systems) or advanced button (XP systems... I think)>check the box which says
"confirm open after download">apply>OK out.

It is not in IE.
You set this for each file type, e.g. for .zip
Explorer-View-Folder Options-File Types
Find the .zip association (may be WinZip File)
Edit, (or click Advanced on ME or XP) and check the "Confirm open
after download" box
The path to Folder Options may vary according to your operating
system. It may be:
Explorer-View-Folder Options
Explorer-Tools-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Control Panel-Folder options.
