If an image has an external link that opens in a new window, it is not
appearing in my browser. Any ideas if this is a security issue or something
else?

Hi Mark :-)

A little more information would really help us a lot.  :-)  Do you get any
error messages?  Does this happen with all images or just certain ones?
What troubleshooting have you done thus far?  Do you have any 3rd party
software installed, such as popup or ad blockers?  Disable all popup and
blockers

Do you have Zone Alarm Pro installed?

Zone Alarm Pro can block Images in IE

1. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom level>reset custom
level to Medium or Low
2. Go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>set the slider to Medium or Low
3. Go to this site and read on adjusting the Privacy settings in ZA. It will
explain how to customize on a per site basis.
