how do you make it so that when you type a new address into the address bar
all the previous addresses dont show up below it?

You need to clear your history.  Tools | Internet Options, Clear History
button.

Turn off  AutoComplete for web addresses
(Options, Content tab, AutoComplete Settings dialog)
