Hi,
Try these steps, in order.
1.Turn off Autocomplete for web addresses (Internet Options> Content>
Autocomplete.) Close all IE windows and clear the History from Control
Panel> Internet Options. You can re-enable Autocomplete after getting the
history cleared.
2. Try one of these free programs/files to clear the TypedURLs list (arrow
on the right side of the Address Bar.)
"DelTypedURL." This INF file will remove all entries.

These two freeware programs will remove some or all entries:
IE Address Bar Editor: http://www.freesoft.fsnet.co.uk/ieedit01.htm
EditURLs: http://www.aandrc.com/editurls/index.htm
3. Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder and a new one will be created when you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:

Hope this helps,
Don
