Hello!

I have two computer's on the same network at my home. I would like to share
the store folder (.dbx files) so i can check my email from both my
computer's without duplicating them.
Is it possible? On the Inside Outlook Express site, I read this" You cannot
move the store to a network drive nor a removable drive."
If a try to move the store folder in Tools| Options| Maintenance, it will
not accept the share on the other computer.
Any suggestions? Is it possible?

Thx

The OE interface will not let you select anything but the local hard
drive.

It's possible to update the registry directly, but that's risky.  The
files are not designed to be shareable.  If two PC's opened OE at the
same time, they would either lock each other out, to corrupt the data
files.

If your ISP offers IMAP mail server access, that is the way to go.  IMAP
is designed for a single mail account to be shared by multiple PCs.  The
IMAP mail is managed at the mail server.

If your ISP doesn't provide IMAP support, an option is to run your own
local mail server that accesses the ISP via POP3 and then provides IMAP
support to your local PCs.  For examples of such a programs, see:
