in the ng "alt.autos.nissan" i have a multitude
of posts "more girls" and when i try to
delete them i get the message that
o.e. is not responding and o.e. freezes up.
anyone have any idea what is going on ?
                    thanks,

Does everything else delete OK? I would create a news rule:

Where the subject line contains specific words
Delete it & Stop processing more rules

Click on Specific Words and add More Girls.

Uncheck: Get XXX headers at a time. (Tools | Options | Read).

Go to Tools | Options | Maintenance | Clean Up Now and select the newsgroup
at the top and then Reset. This should remove the messages and then download
them again, without the more girls posts. Follow up by compacting your
folders.

When you believe these posts are no longer being sent, uncheck the rule as
it will catch other posts with More, or Girls in the subject, even a subject
of Sophomore will probably be caught.
