I backed up my old OE .dbx files, installed a new hard disk, had Windows XP
reinstalled and recreated OE account on the new hard drive. But, I can't find
any .dbx files on the hard disk! Did a search on the hard disk for .dbx files
- none found! The "store folder" (in OE, Tools, Options) points to the old
folder, which no longer exists on the new hard drive. There should be .dbx
files as I've sent and received a few test messages - so there are msgs in
the Inbox, Sent folder and in a new folder I created.  So don’t know where to
put the old .dbx files (to restore my backed up OE emails). Intriguing - help
please. Many thanks.

Dbx files are hidden.
Did you include hidden files in you search?

Restore to a folder, then import from that folder.
