Moving dbx files

Any assistance here would be greatly appreciated.

I recently had a new hard drive installed in my machine.  Because of that,
we decided to repave my machine in order to take care of some fragmentation
issues.

I have a ton of newsgroup dbx files under outlook express 6.  However, I
didn't export the files, all I did was copy the entire directory over to our
server thinking I could just copy it back over.

Now I have read that it looks like I should have exported the files in lieu
of just copying the directory over to another location.

So with that said, is there anyway to reintegrate the dbx newsgroup files I
have without importing the files?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Newsgroups do not export or import unless you cloned your identity.

Backing up and Cloning your OE Identities:

The news server settings could have been exported & imported via Tools |
Accounts | News | Export, but you will have to resubscribe to each
individual group.
