Thank you, PA Bear.
It looks to me as it is a common problem, but why it is French?????
Why cannot be English?
The majority users require English not French spell checker.
And how to understand that the Office2007 speller does not work with OE.
French checker does work! so what is the real problem?

Installing the Proofing Tools from Office XP solved that problem.
But still, because I use Office 2007 I do not know where the custom
dictionary is held and how to import it from my old computer.
Thanks,
Jack

You'd have to ask about this in a Word-specific newsgroup, Jack. Different
versions of Word located the custom dictionary in different places.
On this machine w/Office 2003 installed, CUSTOM.DIC is located in C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared <=this folder.
