Hi All
I have a set of local folders for various tools, and when I post questions
in the newsgroups, I copy the thread to the releveant local folder.
Unfortunately, Outlook Express 6 removes the hierarchy, copying the
indiovidual posts in the thread as just a string of posts, rather than a
hierarchy which can be expanded or collapsed.
Is there anyway to copy the thread so it appears as an expandable tree in
the local folder? And if Outlook Express 6 doesn't do this, can anyone
recommend a newsgroup reader which does?
Thanks,
Chris

While in that folder, View | Current View. Check: Group Messages By
Conversation.

You can use the group by conversation option there, but you won't get
the same results as in newsgroups. In the local folders, OE uses the
Subject to group whereas in newsgroups, there is a references header
that is used to track the thread.

I tried the suggestion, and it seems fine. I haven't noticed any differences
from the newsgroup pane thus far.
