Hi,
Install the program OK, but when I run it, I am getting: "Virtual PC cannot
find MSXML 6. Please reinstall Virtual PC or install MSXML 6 and try
again.". Anybody knows what is going on?
I tried to uninstall, reinstall...install MSXML 6.0....nothing works.
Thanks.

Hi,
Try deleting the options.xml file in the Virtual PC directory under
your roaming profile, i.e.:
C:\Users\%your user name%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Virtual PC

I guess the next step is to remove any/all instllations of MSMXL from
the control panel. Then try the Windows Installer Cleanup utility

Hi,
I had the exact same problem. After investigating it, I managed to resolve
it by removing the KB933579 update. This is an update for MSXML6 that was
pushed in 2007.
I haven't spent more time investigating the issue but it could be a
regression with this fix. I'll post if I get additional information.
Hope this helps.

The same thing is happening for me, and none of these suggestions has
resolved it. Anything else?
thanks,

Hi Guys,
the problem is with the options.xml
start -> run ->
go to %AppData%\Roaming\Microsoft\Virtual PC
in vista
right click on the folder - untick the hidden check box
you will now see the options.xml
rename it to optionsold.xml
restart your VPC program. options.xml is created
error
and the console shows.

hi guys,
solution for two problems here:
Virtual PC console does not show after it was working perfectly
and
error appears -> Virtual PC or install MSXML 6 and try again
go to start -> run -> type
%appdata%\Roaming\Microsoft\Virtual PC
in vista right click on folder and uncheck the hidden check box
options.xml will now show in the explorer folder
rename this to optionsold.xml
restart your VPC program.
options.xml is now recreated
virutal pc console shows on the desktop & error message goes away
