Thanks. I did try changing the resolution but I was still unable to grab the
scroll bars or even go to the menu bar (Action, Edit, etc.) without
Alt-Enter. Full screen works nicely so I can live with it. Maybe it has
something to do with having 3 monitors and running UltraMon. I will check on
that forum and see if anyone has this problem.
My bigger issue right now is drag and drop and I hope you can give me a
hand. I have tried:
1. combinations of dragging files and folders across monitors from Windows
Explorer and the desktop on my physical computer to Windows Explorer and the
desktop on the virtual. No luck.
2. The same as above but putting the physical and virtual windows on the
same monitor and dragging. No luck again.
All I get when I left-click the folder or file I want to move is a little
circle with a line but no drag or drop. I even tried with the resolution
change you suggested but no luck. I am obviously doing something wrong. What
is the technique for dragging and dropping?
Thanks very much.

Virtual PC doesn't work like that.
Example; you have a word doc on the desktop of your host pc and you want to
copy it to the virtual pc. You can't drag it from the host desktop and onto
the window showing your virtual pc desktop. Pretend that virtual pc is like a
switch-box. It allows you to switch between multiple running pcs but they are
only connected in ways real pcs would be.
So to transfer files you can either create network shares and browse to them
(\\host\shared) or you can create a shared folder using the VMadditions.
Hope this helps,

Actually - you should be able to do just this.

Yes it does.

If you've got the VM Additions installed on a Windows VM you can drag
and drop files from the host to the guest and vice-versa.

Wrong, VPC works *exactly* like that!
But this ability does not show up until you:
1) Install the Virtual Machine additions in the guest
2) Restart your host system (and the guest)
Step 2 is said not to be needed always but in my experience it is...
>Example; you have a word doc on the desktop of your host pc and you want to
>copy it to the virtual pc. You can't drag it from the host desktop and onto

Yes, you can....

With the exception of drag-drop from the host of course (with VMA
installed).

I stand corrected, you learn something new everyday.
