I'm trying to install Win2003 setup as a virtual drive. When checking the
ISO image, PowerISO reads "bootable image", so I presume it is bootable.
However, when Virtual PC 2007 is loading the following error is displayed:
Reboot and select proper boot device.
This problem seems to happen with VM Ware Workstation, somehow.
Any ideas please?
P.S. In order to re-create a bootable image, PowerISO is prompting for a
.bif file, what is this and where do I get this?

From where did you get the ISO image???
If you have a bootable disk for W2003 then you can create the ISO
using WinImage, that is what i do all the time. Don't know about
PowerISO....
Then when you start the new guest just drag and drop the ISO file to
the CD icon in the bottom left of the guest window. Or right-click the
icon and select: "Capture ISO image...", browse to the ISO file and
click OK. Easier to drag-drop....
Next go to the Action menu and select Reset.
Now the guest will boot up off of the ISO image, which by now is
recognized as an optical disk in the guest.

For help with VMWare try the forums on VMWare's site. This newsgroup is for
users of Virtual PC from MS.
