I have Windows Home Premium 64 and I have installed Virtual PC 2007.  I have
created a VM of XP Pro.

I don't know how to get files from the Vista host into and out of the XP VM.
I have been told that Shared Folders is one way to do this.

In my settings for the VM it says that Shared Folders is "Not Installed" and
says "Shared folders are available only after Virtual Machine Additions is
installed".  I go to the MS website, search for Virtual Machine Additions
and the only thing that I've been able to find is the Microsoft Vitual
Server 2005 Updated Additions, which I downloaded.  But when I went to
install it it said something about not having the right version of the
virtual machine and wouldn't proceed with the install.

How do I install Virtual Machine Additions?

I appear to have figured it out by reading the Help menu about "Additions".
It is done from the Action menu of the Virtual PC 2007.

Walter:

As to sharing files, I always just use ordinary Windows Networking.
