Hi
I am using MS Virtual PC 2007. I am not able to activate the Additions
wizard by selecting the Additions option in Actions.
I need to be able to share folders from the host system to be made available
to the VPC..

They don't work in any version of Ubuntu

There's the rub, there are no official additions for Linux on VPC2007,
and while the Virtual Server additions work in VPC, there is no shared
folder function.

You'll have to use something else to transfer files.  smbclient in
Ubuntu can do it, but it's a bit out of my expertise to describe how.

He can create a shared folder on the "HOST" and then in Ubuntu under the
"Places" heading select "Connect to Server" and then select "Windows Share"
as the "Service Type", fill in the information and transfer away. Everything
is installed in the base install. he doesn't even have to download anything.

I do wish the additions worked if for nothing else than not having to
release the mouse whenever I move back to the host. Ok so I'm lazy.

"But" the Linux additions for Virtual Server can work for VPC. They just
aren't supported by Microsoft.
