I'm looking into virtualization software, but kind of lost in the sea
of choices. Here's my general usage and requirements, can anyone make
a recommendation for me? I'm only looking into free software, so I
think my choices are between Virtual PC 2007, Virtual Server, and
VMware Server. Thanks!

Base OS is XP Pro, and need to virtualize for XP and Vista.

I would like to have a base build, then branch other virtual machines
from it to test different software.

I need to be able to run at least 2 concurrent virtual machines and
remote login to them at the same time.

that's pretty standard requirements, any of the products listed will
work for what you want to do.

VPC and VirtualBox will have the best UI for doing a lot of work with
a VM.  Both server products are somewhat less "friendly" when doing a
lot of interaction directly on the VMs.
