Hello,

It seems that I need to create my own VPC in order to start testing IE6 SP1,
however, I was wondering if someone has found another sollution for this.

Thanks,

Pieter

I'm not sure what you're asking here...

VPC will indeed allow you to create a virtual machine on which you can
install an operating system e.g. WinXP on which you can install SP1 for IE6

Because Microsoft has only made the following VPC images available for
testing:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=21EABB90-958F-4B64-B5F1
-73D0A413C8EF&displaylang=en

and that only includes a IE6 SP2 VPC-image, whereas I wanted to test IE6 SP1
if this would still be necessary for my customer to do so.

So.....

1) Create a new virtual machine

2) Install Windows XP

3) DO NOT allow Windows Update to download and install automatically

4) Download and install SP1 for IE6 manually
