Can't access secondary hard disk

I set up a secondary hard disk, which I've attached to the virtual machine in
the hope that I could work around the lack of memory on the primary disk. The
settings for the machine show that the secondary disk is there, at the moment
it is empty and is set up as a dynamically expanding virtual disk.
The new disk isn't visible from explorer on the virtual machine.
How do I access the new disk?

You need to go into Computer Management to partition, format and
assign a drive lietter to the virtual HD before it will show up in
Explorer...just like you would with a physical HD on your regular
computer.

Thanks Steve, that seems to have done the trick.
